This variety of Long Green Raisin is referred to as “Kashmari Green Raisin”, “Persian Long Green Raisin”, or “Iranian Green Raisin”. This variety of raisin in mainly cultivated in Kashmar region of Iran. The unique characteristic of this product is the thin and elongated shape of the raisin. The product has a sweet and sour taste that sets it apart from other varieties.
This product is machine dried and contains small amounts of vegetable oil to help preserve the product and avoid clumping.

Being a dry fruit, raisins have a long shelf life. They keep well when stored in airtight containers and placed away from moisture, humidity, sunlight and high temperature. They can also be stored inside the refrigerator. Prolonged cold storage may results in precipitation of their sugar contents. However, this should not offset their quality. It can be reversed by just soaking them in boiled water for few minutes in order to dissolve sugar crystals.
